Elder Edwin Harris

Elder Edwin Harris received Jesus as his Lord and Savior in October 1992.  He has been a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church for the past 14 years.  As a family man, he is married to the lovely Beverly and has three beautiful children: Jeremy, Kaylin, and Nadia.

During his walk with the Lord, he has witnessed the move of God on many occasions.  As a former member of a religious cult, Elder Harris has experienced the deliverance power of God.  In August 1997, Elder Harris accepted his calling into the ministry and was licensed to preach on November 14, 1997, and appointed as an Elder in January 2003.  During the past 13+ years in ministry, Elder Harris has worked in a number of capacities within the church.

After serving faithfully and under the direction of Bishop William Jordan, Elder Harris was ordained on July 30, 2007.

In his previous role as Executive Director of Ministries, Elder Harris worked very closely with the leaders of the various ministries of St. Mark - providing direction, guidance, and leadership.  Elder Harris currently serves as Executive Pastor of the St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church.    In this role, he served and worked very closely with the Senior Pastor, Bishop William Jordan, in assuring the Vision came to past.  In working closely with Bishop Jordan (Presiding Prelate - SMCCF), he took on the responsibility of Annual Convocation Coordinator for the St. Mark Covenant Churches Fellowship as well as working very closely with the Adjutants of the local church, as well as with the Fellowship.  After the transition of Bishop William Jordan to glory, he continues to serve as the leader of the St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church - trusting God for the success of the church.

Elder Harris believes strongly in operating in the gifts of the Lord Jesus Christ.  He is sought by churches to provide training in various areas of ministry (leadership, adjutancy, ministry, servant-hood, etc.)

Elder Harris has attended numerous conferences and training classes, as well as personal studies, to make sure that he has the tools needed to effectively fulfill the duties assigned to him.

Elder Harris is currently working diligently on writing his first book entitled "From the CULT to the PULPIT - A Coming-Out Experience!!!
