Our Pastor
Edwin Harris currently serves as the Lead Pastor of St. Mark. He has been on staff for over 20 years, serving in a number of capacities. He began his full time ministry as the Executive Director of Ministries and moved to his next role as the Executive Pastor. These roles were served under the leadership of the late Bishop William Jordan. In 2007, he assumed the role of Acting Pastor and later in 2011 he became the Senior Pastor of St. Mark.
He has a true Servant's Heart and can be counted on to serve the people of God as well as the community. Under his leadership, the Lord gave St. Mark our current vision - to be the place where God is making a holistic mark on people's lives. Servant Harris (what he often calls himself) is a teacher, preacher and administrator. He not only serves as our leader, but he also serves as the secretary of the South Suburban Concerned Clergy, a group of clergy who work together to provide outreach, education, and other needed services to the south suburban area.
He is the humbled husband of the beautiful Beverly Harris, our First Lady. He is also the proud father of three adult children - Jeremy, Kaylin and Nadia - and one granddaughter - Khalia.
Our First Lady
Beverly Harris currently serves as Women's Ministry Director (Daughters of Destiny). She has been a part of the St. Mark Ministry since 1987, first serving as one of the Voices of St. Mark. Over the years, Lady Harris has served faithfully in a number of areas - working with Bishop Jordan and the St. Mark Covenant Churches Fellowship - as well as currently serving as Outreach Leader. Lady Harris has a heart for people and truly wants to see the best for women, mothers, children, and families.
Lady Harris is leading our women through the Daughters of Grace curriculum - helping to encourage and change the lives of Kingdom Women. She is the proud mother of three children - Nadia, Kaylin, and Jeremy - and one granddaughter, Khalia. Lady Harris loves the Lord and is committed to serving His people continually.
